How To: Sleep While Glamping

Posted on 11 December 2019

Getting a good night’s sleep while glamping can be harder than you think – never mind the fact that sleeping in new and unfamiliar places is often difficult, sleeping close to nature can come with its own set of challenges that can be hard to get used to, no matter how comfy the bed. That’s why we’ve compiled our top hints and tips to help you sleep like a baby on your next glamping trip:

Nature is noisy

Even if you’re a million miles away from other campers, sleeping in the great outdoors can be a noisy affair. Birds, small animals and insects love to get up a lot earlier than we do, so it’s a good idea to invest in some earplugs if you don’t want to watch the sun rise every day.

A little (or a lot) of lavender goes a long way

Mosquitos can seem inescapable during the summer and can even be noisy while you’re hiding behind the protection of a net. To help keep them and other creepy crawlies away, lavender makes a wonderful natural repellent – it’ll even promote relaxation and help you sleep, too!

We all love hot water bottles

Although we offer thermal lining in our glamping domes, the further into nature you venture, the colder nights can become. We recommend bringing a trusty hot water bottle with you to make the bed extra cosy when the sun goes down.

Come prepared
