The Norwich Evening News reported growth for East Anglia tourism over the Bank Holiday weekend. Self-catering giant Hoseasons said while the weather had played a role most were advance bookings. Simon Altham of Hoseasons was quoted as saying:

“Bank holiday bookings in the UK have been very strong for the business, with a 12pc increase in sales across all of our domestic regions over the three day period.

“However the real standout has been East of England, which includes Norfolk and Suffolk, as we’ve seen occupancy levels in our parks, boats and cottages at an amazing 97pc over the weekend.”

It adds to a trend of good news for businesses looking to start offering self-catering holiday accommodation, or to increase their glamping business.
